Adinah Barlow is a mother, Acroyogi, and the owner of Lifelong Wellness Center in Portland, Oregon. She has worked as a massage therapist for 15 years and as a Life Coach for five years, bringing her experience of embodiment to her coaching clients to help them make lasting changes in their lives and relationships.
Adinah has been fascinated with people and well-being all of her life. Even as a child, she wondered why some people are healthy and happy while others are not. Since 2007, she has read books, taken courses, and had one-on-one training around health and healing for body and mind.
In working with so many people over the years, she saw how their daily practices either support or damage their bodies, minds, and emotions. She believes that prioritizing one’s well-being is the most important thing a person can do and that a culture of self-care could change the world we live in.
I’m a licensed massage therapist and acupuncturist in the state of Oregon.
I initially became fascinated by the mind-body connection after enrolling in a Kundalini yoga course during my Freshman year at the University of Oregon. This fascination inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology.
Before graduating, I attended a six-week study abroad program in India, where I observed several alternative healthcare systems, including Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine. I continued my dive into integrative medicine by completing Lane Community College’s Massage Therapy Program in 2018 and earning my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2022 from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM).
*I completed clinical internships at the Legacy Pain Clinic, treating patients suffering from chronic and complex pain disorders, and at FORA Health, supporting patients on their path to addiction recovery.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience working with various musculoskeletal complaints and am particularly interested in jaw, neck, and shoulder issues. I also enjoy working with digestive disorders, insomnia, menstrual pain, and much more.
*I currently offer massage and acupuncture and enjoy combining other modalities, such as cupping, gua sha, and infrared light therapy.
I believe in the transformative power of stillness and that within these quiet moments, the mind and body come back into alignment, and self-healing can occur.
I focus on cultivating a space that invites you to slow down, unwind, and tune in.
